Mr. Driver

Stephen Phillips trained as an actor at the the Victorian College of the Arts graduating in 2002. 

He has worked extensively across several artistic disciplines; theatre, film & television, physical performance and dance, motion capture, foreign language voice recording & commercial voiceover, and as a practising theatre maker producing his own work.  He has worked as a choral singer and session musician and has been a teacher of Pilates, Meyerhold’s Biomechanics and of Physical Theatre & Ensemble Practise at various theatre training institutions. 

At the heart of his artistic pursuit is the formation of a dedicated training ensemble to further explore the myriad possibilities of ensemble theatre-making and as a deeper investigation of ‘ensemble’ as a ritualistic practise.  The Bells ensemble forms the heart of this ensemble.
